Zusammenfassung:Data are reported suggesting a high incidence of spina bifida occulta among testicular cancer patients. the relevance of a diagnosis of spina bifida occulta as a risk factor for testicular cancer is discussed, also considering the background information available on a common genetic origin for some urogenital malignancies which are often associated with different types of malformations.
