Zusammenfassung:A breakthrough in the catalytic enantioselective synthesis of allenes was recently reported by Hayashi and co‐workers: chiral trichlorosilyl allenes were generated with up to 90 % ee by palladium‐catalyzed hydrosilylation of but‐1‐en‐3‐ynes in the presence of a chiral ferrocenyl phosphane [Eq. (1)]. This transformation, as well as further recent highlights in enantioselective allene synthesis, are summarized in this account.
