Thioridazine treatment prevents cardiopathy in Trypanosoma cruzi infected mice

Trypanosoma cruzi trypanothione reductase is an enzyme that has been identified as a potential target for chemotherapy. Thioridazine inhibits it and prevented cardiopathy in mice infected with T. cruzi Tulahuen strain.
