Tc-99m MDP Uptake in a Soft Tissue Hematoma of the Chest Wall

A 52-year-old man with chronic myeloid leukemia had fever and right-side chest pain. A Tc-99m methylene diphosphonate whole-body bone scan showed diffuse, mildly increased radioactivity in the right chest wall. This was found to be secondary to a hematoma.
