Zusammenfassung:The prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, as diagnosed with ultrasonography, in patients with familial combined hyperlipidemia is assessed. A substantial prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease was found which suggests that hepatic steatosis is part of familial combined hyperlipidemia, specifically the hypertriglyeridemic phenotype.
