Zusammenfassung:	The authors examined the rleation between on-site availability of a catheterization laboratory and 1-year survival in 5,242 patients with myocardial infarction consecutively registered in 24 Spanish hospitals. Patients admitted to hospital without such facilities were at similar risk of dying within 28 days and 1 year (taking into account main patient characteristics) compared with those admitted to sites with a catheterization laboratory.
