Zusammenfassung:Approximately 25% of sufferers of retinal migraine are thought to have a positive family history. Retinal migraines can cause both transient, and rarely permanent, unilateral monocular visual loss. This report of familial retinal migraines furthers our understanding of this particular migraine subtype. Two families with retinal migraines are reported suggesting an autosomal-dominant inheritance pattern with variable expression and penetrance.
