Dietary calcium intake and supplement use among older African American, White, and Native American Women in a rural southeastern community

Very few data exist on the intake of calcium and vitamin D among older women in rural communities--particularly those of ethnic minority groups, who may be at risk for nutritional deficits. Bell et al describe the dietary and supplemental intake of calcium and supplemental intake of vitamin D among older women of 3 ethnic groups in a rural southeastern US community.
