Evolutionary ethics: An idea whose time has come?

The phrase evolutionary ethics is fraught with conceptual difficulty. Losco is less inclined than some of his colleagues to conclude that evolution provides precise moral guidance. However, one can look to evolution for evidence of a balanced repertoire of strategies that, in combination, provide the kind of prudential guidance that gives rise to moral rules or codes.
