Zusammenfassung:	Paris and Keenan comment on the article "Food for Terri Schiavo" by John F. Kavanaugh. They contend that his observations in the case of Terri Schiavo are not right and that Kavanaugh offers few explanations on his conclusions. Kavanaugh replies by saying that his observations on the possibility of mouth feeding were also based on a week's stay at a unit for the brain-damaged in France and that the neurologist (also scientist) there assured him that the PVS patients, some in the state of years, could be fed by mouth if there were sufficient time and resources.
