Zusammenfassung: | Recently, with the appearance of electrophilic sources of fluorine including the commercially available N−F reagents, the concept of electrophilic fluorodesilylation has emerged as a new strategy to prepare a variety of fluorine containing compounds. This paper highlights how this concept has been applied to the preparation of a series of fluorinated molecules including fluoroaromatic compounds, fluoroalkenes, difluoroamides, difluoroalcohols, difluoroethers and α‐fluorinated carbonyl derivatives.
In contrast to nucleophilic fluorodesilylation involving the formation of a Si−F bond, the electrophilic fluorodesilylation of silanes and silyl enol ether derivatives allows the preparation of a wide variety of fluorine‐containing compounds (see scheme). |
