Zusammenfassung:Febrile infants with no obvious source of infection are a common problem for pediatricians and emergency room physicians. Several studies have devaluated different approaches to the identification of those infants who are at risk of bacterial infection. The infrequent use of ordering chest radiographs to diagnose infants is discussed.
