SLAVERY IN THE SUDAN SINCE 1989

The Sudanese government denies that slavery is taking place, but many independent accounts over a decade can leave no doubt that it is actively being practiced. Slavery seems to have been virtually institutionalized among the Dinka of north central Bahr al Ghazal.
