Electroless Deposition of Palladium at Bare and Templated Liquid/Liquid Interfaces

A simple, electroless approach to metallize the liquid/liquid interface is reported. The method is illustrated with the deposition of Pd at the bare water/1,2-dichloroethane interface, and for the “templated” deposition of Pd within the 100 nm diameter pores of γ-alumina membranes.
