Zusammenfassung: | Cross‐communication between heterologous signaling systems and the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) has been shown to be critical for a variety of biological responses: EGFR transactivation when G‐protein‐coupled receptors (GPCRs) are stimulated represents the paradigm of an interreceptor network that is dependent on G‐proteins, kinases, metalloproteases, and growth factor precursors. Investigating the mechanism of this process will help expand our knowledge of physiological regulatory mechanisms and diverse pathophysiological disorders. |
