Coarctation of the aorta in the neonate: associated conditions, management, and early outcome

Operative mortality was 5.7% in neonates who underwent surgery for coarctation of the aorta in a consortium of university hospitals. Coexistent ventricular septal defect and performance of cardiac catheterization had little influence on outcome.
