Zusammenfassung:We present a novel method for direct introduction of chemicals into a sieve tube of intact rice plants–namely, the method of micro-introduction using stylet of insect (the MUSI method). Fluorescent dyes were successfully introduced into a sieve tube through a severed stylet of planthopper and the distribution of the dyes was observed.
