Zusammenfassung:Differential Effects of Drug-Eluting Stents on Local Endothelium-Dependent Coronary Vasomotion Michalis I. Hamilos, Miodrag Ostojic, Branko Beleslin, Dragan Sagic, Ljubco Mangovski, Sinisa Stojkovic, Milan Nedeljkovic, Dejan Orlic, Bratislav Milosavljevic, Dragan Topic, Nevena Karanovic, William Wijns, on behalf of the NOBORI CORE Investigators In the present study we compared coronary vasomotion after implantation of biolimus A9-eluting stents (BES) (n = 19) and sirolimus-eluting stents (SES) (n = 15) 9 months after stent implantation. Endothelium-dependent and -independent coronary vasomotion were tested proximally and distally to the stent as well as at a reference segment. Patients with SES showed vasoconstriction in segments proximal and distal to the stent, whereas patients with BES showed vasodilatation. These results are indicative of preserved endothelial function after BES implantation.
