Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To report a case of hypercupremia with deposits in both eyes on the Descemet’s membrane, surface of the iris, and lens capsule associated with multiple myeloma. METHOD: Case report. RESULTS: A 64-year-old white woman had metallic deposits in both eyes on the central Descemet’s membrane, surface of the iris, and the anterior and posterior lens capsule. A systemic examination revealed an elevated serum copper, normal serum ceruloplasmin, and an increased level of total protein and IgG kappa gammaglobulin. Based on these results, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. CONCLUSIONS: Copper deposits on the Descemet’s membrane, surface of the iris, and lens capsule may be the first sign of multiple myeloma.
