Zusammenfassung:Correlation Between Morphologic Characteristics and Local Temperature Differences in Culprit Lesions of Patients With Symptomatic Coronary Artery Disease Konstantinos Toutouzas, Andreas Synetos, Elli Stefanadi, Sophia Vaina, Virginia Markou, Manolis Vavuranakis, Eleftherios Tsiamis, Dimitrios Tousoulis, Christodoulos Stefanadis We investigated whether morphologic characteristics of culprit lesions are correlated with plaque temperature, detected by intracoronary thermography, in 81 patients with acute coronary syndromes and chronic stable angina. Local thermal heterogeneity was correlated with the existence of ruptured plaques in culprit lesions with positive arterial remodeling of patients with acute coronary syndromes, as demonstrated by the multivariate analysis.
