Zusammenfassung:	The structure of the core oligosaccharide of aerotolerant Campylobacter jejuni O:2 lipopolysaccharide was determined and found to contain 3-deoxy- d- manno-octulosonic acid (Kdo), l- glycero- d- manno-heptose ( ld-Hep), d-galactose, d-glucose, and phosphorylethanolamine ( PEtn). Based on 1H, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopic studies including 2D COSY, TOCSY, ROESY and heteronuclear 1H– 31P and HMQC experiments it was established that the oligosaccharide has the following structure:
