Zusammenfassung:Exercise is proven to be safe and effective treatment and is prescribed routinely for the conservative management of intermittent claudication. Before advising about the exercises, the assessment of these patients rarely includes risk factors for the Achilles tendon rupture. We present a case report of bilateral simultaneous and spontaneous rupture of the Achilles tendons secondary to the exercises prescribed for intermittent claudication in a patient with significant risk factors for Achilles rupture.
