Zusammenfassung:	Candidiasis of the gallbladder is an uncommon cause of acute cholecystitis. Candidal cholecystitis is seen especially in patients with malignancies. In the present case, we report that acute calculous cholecystitis was caused by Candida lusitaniae in a 33-year-old patient without underlying malignancy. According to our review of the literature, this is the first report of acute cholecystitis caused by C. lusitaniae.
