Zusammenfassung:	ABSTRACT Food impaction in patients with eosinophilic esophagitis is being recognized increasingly. Retrieval of impacted food may be necessary if it does not resolve spontaneously. The present report describes a new technique for removal of friable impacted food from the esophagus using a modified version of the Saeed banding device. With this technique, impacted food was safely removed in a single attempt in each of 3 patients.
