Zusammenfassung: | Two cases in which a severe form of intestinal angina was cured by revascularization of an isolated hepatic artery were studied. The collateral pathways to the hepatic artery may serve, in a retrograde fashion, to assure an acceptable blood supply to the splanchnic organs, even when the disease of the 3 main vessels is so extensive that the commonly used techniques of revascularization cannot be applied.
