Zusammenfassung:In Fall 1997, the Division of Medicine of the Bureau of Health Professions in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the Department of Health and Human Services sponsored a collaborative national internal medicine faculty development initiative to improve teaching in community-based ambulatory settings. The objective was to bring together the major internal medicine organizations to develop a national, coordinated strategy for faculty development for community-based ambulatory settings.
