Sleep-disordered breathing in chronic stable heart failure

P. A. Lanfranchi and coworkers showed in a study of 62 patients that nocturnal Cheyne-Stokes respiration was an independent predictor of a poor prognosis in clinically stable patients with chronic heart failure and a left-ventricular ejection of less than 35%.
