Lessons from the Nordic ICD pilot study

Several studies investigating the use of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) in post-infarct patients are in progress or are about to begin. One of them, the Nordic ICD Pilot main study, should not be undertaken with the same risk stratifiers that the first one had.
