Arteriovenous Malformations of the Brain in Adults

Modern imaging techniques are increasingly discovering arteriovenous malformations of the brain, many of which are still unruptured. Advances in microsurgery, endovascular techniques, and radiotherapy have expanded the options for therapy and have come at a faster pace than information on the natural history of arteriovenous malformations, the associated morbidity and mortality, and the risks of invasive therapies.
