Zusammenfassung:N- 13C-methyl-deoxynojirimycin was synthesized and used in isotope-edited NMR studies to probe the binding site of an α-glucosidase. Results from this analysis led to the design and preparation of a novel α-glucosidase inhibitor, N-glycyl deoxynojirimycin. N-glycyl deoxynojirimycin, a novel α-glucosidase inhibitor, was developed using information from an isotope-edited NMR study of an inhibitor/glucosidase complex.
