Zusammenfassung: | Plasmon hybridization in gold nanorings is investigated experimentally and through finite‐difference time‐domain calculations. A stack composed of a concentric and a non‐concentric nanoring gives rise to hybridized dipolar and multipolar modes with resonances in the near infrared. Symmetry breaking in the system leads to large electromagnetic field enhancements (>240) and multipolar plasmon excitations not visible in the individual rings are revealed (see image). |
