Zusammenfassung:	A new iridoid glycoside, verbaspinoside (1), was isolated from the aerial parts of Verbascum spinosum. Its structure was elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectral data as 6-O-[(2‘ ‘-O-trans-cinnamoyl)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl]-catalpol. Additionally, three known iridoids (aucubin, catalpol, and ajugol) and three phenylpropanoid glycosides [acteoside, angoroside A (2), and angoroside C (3)] were isolated and identified.
