Zusammenfassung: | A radionuclide bleeding study was performed in a patient after several episodes of passage of blood per rectum. A focal area of active bleeding was noted in the distal ileum. Angiography confirmed this as the source of bleeding, and a stromal tumor of the ileum was surgically resected. The scintigraphic study accurately detected a small intestinal-bleeding site that was not suspected clinically. |
