Mid-cavitary obstruction in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

LGE by magnetic resonance imaging allows for detection of what is presumed to be myocardial fibrosis or infarction; a finding that has been associated with other risk markers for sudden cardiac death in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
