Zusammenfassung:Shifting H bonds: Concerted hydrogen‐bond strengthening and weakening in different excited states can tune energy gaps between low‐lying electronic states and thus account for the photochemistry of thiocarbonyl chromophores in alcoholic solutions (see picture). Also, the relationship between electronic spectral shifts and the electronic excited‐state hydrogen‐bonding changes is clarified.
