Vulvar melanoma, biologically different from other cutaneous melanomas

Malignant melanoma may show a predisposition for vulvar skin. The unusual nature of vulvar melanoma and how it differs biologically from other cutaneous melanomas are highlighted in reports of a nationwide 25-year follow-up study of 219 Swedish women with primary melanoma of the vulva.
