Duprez A focus on risk factor prevention as a means of reducing cardiovascular disease provides little role for physicians and little demonstrable benefit to individual patients. A revised clinical strategy is urgently needed to identify early disease and to treat it aggressively to slow its progression and to prevent morbid events.
