Zusammenfassung:We report the bone scan appearance of Paget disease involving the left third metacarpal bone in a 73-year-old woman who presented with left hand pain. A plain radiograph of the hand was ordered and the results were suggestive of Paget disease. A bone scan was subsequently ordered, which showed intense activity in the left third metacarpal bone with no evidence of other bony involvement. After the bone scan, a serum alkaline phosphatase level was ordered and found to be normal.
