Zusammenfassung: | The French legislation strictly controls the organization of assisted reproductive techniques (ART). The menopaused women are not allowed access to this kind of medical care. For women who still want to be pregnant, oocyte donation in a foreign country may offer a solution. The mortality and morbidity rates are higher for these women compared to the general population. We report two cases of pregnancy after oocyte donation in women around 45 years of age. The first one was complicated by preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. The second patient suffered from severe postpartum complications that needed intensive care during three weeks. The clinical consequences are discussed, together with legislative and ethical issues. |
