Zusammenfassung: | (3) used analysis of choline in whole blood by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry to perform a prospective study of cardiac troponin-negative patients with suspected acute coronary syndrome and concluded that increased whole-blood choline concentrations were predictive of cardiac death and nontatal cardiac arrest. Increased cardiac troponin-I is indicative of myocardial cell death attributable to prolonged ischemia and is used in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction; however, this biomarker can be increased in other conditions such as myocarditis (7) or myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (8,9). |
