Zusammenfassung:Effects of Intravenous Atrial Natriuretic Peptide on Cardiac Sympathetic Nerve Activity and Left Ventricular Remodeling in Patients With First Anterior Acute Myocardial Infarction Shu Kasama, Takuji Toyama, Takashi Hatori, Hiroyuki Sumino, Hisao Kumakura, Yoshiaki Takayama, Shuichi Ichikawa, Tadashi Suzuki, Masahiko Kurabayashi We determined whether atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) improves cardiac sympathetic nerve activity (CSNA) in patients with first anterior acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after primary coronary angioplasty. Fifty patients with AMI were included in the study. Twenty-five patients were assigned to receive ANP, and the remaining patients received isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN). All patients underwent ventriculography 2 weeks later and cardiac123 I-meta-iodobenzylguanidine (123 I-MIBG) scintigraphy 3 weeks after angioplasty. After treatment, ventriculographic and123 I-MIBG parameters were better after treatment in patients with ANP than with ISDN. We conclude that ANP improves CSNA and left ventricular remodeling after reperfusion therapy in patients with AMI.
