Zusammenfassung: | Primary tuberculous otitis media of which infection focus cannot be found elsewhere in the body is a rare disease. Route of the infection has been hypothesized as Eustachian tube or external auditory canal with tympanic membrane perforation but it is hard to ascertain in the patient. We present a case of an 8-year-old child who suffered chronic otorrhea after tympanostomy tube insertion. The radiological and histopathological findings revealed tuberculous otitis media, which occurred as a complication of tympanostomy tube insertion. |
