The laparoscopic appearances of pelvic splenosis: A case of mistaken identity

The case of a 17-year-old girl who suffered from severe dysmenorrhoea is presented. After examination it was found that there was no suggestion of endometriosis, and her diagnosis was revised to that of primary dysmenorrhoea with concomitant pelvic splenosis.
