Zusammenfassung:In adults with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) we sought to establish the effect of oral bisphosphonate therapy. Bone densitometry measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), and clinical patient data, were reviewed retrospectively. Eighty-one patients (median age 27 years) had baseline and follow-up DXA, with an interval of 19.2 +/- 7.1 months. Thirty-six patients were treated with bisphosphonates (alendronate=23 and risedronate=13).
