Zusammenfassung: | Photochromism in nanospace: Reversible photochromic reaction of a diaryl ethene (DE) takes place in the pores of MCM‐41s modified with organic groups. The efficiency of the photocyclization reaction increases fourfold when the diameter of the pore is decreased to approximately the same size of the DE, which indicates that the conformation of the open‐ring isomer is regulated in the confines of the pore (see picture). |
