Zusammenfassung: | Adult-onset Still disease (AOSD) is a rare inflammatory disease characterized by a combination of symptoms such as spiking fever (≥39°C), arthralgias and/or arthritis, cutaneous rash, sore throat, lymph node enlargement, neutrophilic leucocytosis, and disturbed liver metabolism. Before arriving at the diagnosis of AOSD, other systemic disorders such as rheumatic or infectious diseases, vasculitis, and neoplastic disorders have to be excluded. As such, a diagnostic process with conventional imaging and/or F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG PET) may be indicated. In this report, we describe serial FDG PET imaging findings in a patient with systemic complaints and diagnosed with AOSD. |
