Zusammenfassung:Precursors and particles captured in a net: Porous coordination polymers such as MOF‐5 are efficient gas storage devices and are also able to absorb metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) precursors (see picture, red: [(η5‐C5H5)Pd(η3‐C3H5)]). These incorporated compounds are easily reduced to give the corresponding metal nanoparticles. Applications in heterogeneous catalysis, for instance, methanol synthesis or hydrogenation, are described.
