Zusammenfassung:	Foreign bodies are common in the head and face. We investigated the use of image-guided navigation systems for the removal of foreign bodies in 10 patients between 1998 and 2004. In all cases foreign bodies were retrieved. There were no major complications. Image-guided removal of foreign bodies is safe and valuable.
