Zusammenfassung: | Pores for effect: Spherical, mesoporous silica particles with pore sizes ranging from 28–127 Å and particle diameters of 5–10 μm were used to achieve size‐based separations of two proteins (see figure). This separation has been visualized using confocal scanning laser microscopy and confirmed with flow microcalorimetry. The results show that mesoporous silicates can be developed as molecular‐sieve media for protein separation. |
