Zusammenfassung: | We assessed the effect on duodenal stump vascular supply of reconstruction of the gastroduodenal artery performed before pancreas transplantation. The median pancreas graft and patient survival times were 144 and 72 months for cases with or without gastrointestinal bleeding. Transmural blood flow values were significantly different between the donor duodenal stump and the recipient anastomosed jejunum (
P < .01). The rate of gastrointestinal bleeding was lower in patients who received a pancreatic graft with back-table reconstruction of the gastroduodenal artery (
P = .005). |
